Research first to establish MID values for diabetes-specific patient reported outcome (PRO) measure
Researchers at the University of Sheffield working in collaboration with DHP Research are the first to establish a set of Minimally Important Difference(MID) values for a diabetes-specific patient reported outcome (PRO) measure.
Due for publication in “Health” the research findings will enable users of the Diabetes Health Profile (DHP-18) to more easily interpret whether changes in patient scores following intervention reflect a meaningful clinical change in the impact of diabetes on the patient’s psychological and behavioural functioning.
Further research is planned to establish MID values across a range of different diabetes populations including age and sex.
